Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Holland, MI.  The position will be eligible for a flexible work schedule which allows for work from home 1 or 2 days a week.

 

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will:
Support financial planning, reporting, accounting, and business analysis processes necessary to support Company objectives.  Ensures all financial reports and analysis comply with appropriate accounting principles and company policies, accurately reflect condition of business, and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.  Under minimal supervision, supports monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual audit, and budgeting processes.  In particular, this position works with both Finance and other functional groups to assist with financial planning (budgeting, forecasting) and reporting, particularly SG&A.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and coordinate the development of annual corporate financial plans and budgets to meet corporate objectives.
  • Oversee financial reporting activities.
  • Ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and comply with legal requirements, such as IRS rules and international regulations.
  • Support external audits to ensure legal compliance.
  • Support the training of finance staff to inform, coach, and mentor others.
  • Identify specific operational improvement opportunities and participate in projects, including financial analysis, to support company goals.
  • Partners with functional leaders in the business to help them better understand their financial metrics. 
  • Consolidates financial results and summarizes executive summaries.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job function with/without accommodation.
  • Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate's degree plus 2 years of related experience or,
    • High school diploma plus 4 years of related experience. 


Work Experience:

  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of related experience with Master's degree.

In addition:

  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
